De Buurtcamping Utrecht is looking for volunteers

The Buurtcamping Utrecht is camping for a weekend in your own park in Utrecht. At the campsite you are outside all day and everyone is equal; with that toilet roll under our arm, after all, we all look equally clumsy! The campsites are built for and by the neighborhood (residents, entrepreneurs and local organizations). In addition, there is a wide program full of art, music, sports and meetings, so those who don't like camping are also very welcome!

In Utrecht, 6 parks will be transformed into Buurtcamping in 2019: Noordse Park (Ondiep / Pijlsweerd), Majellapark in Utrecht West, Griftpark, Park de Gagel in the Overvecht district, Transwijk park and Maximapark in Leidsche Rijn. Each park has three campsite managers who work together with different teams to set up the campsites and roll out the program. We are looking hard for volunteers who want to help with (the design of) De Buurtcamping. We are looking for people who want to help with:

Promotion
• Consider and participate in playful promotional campaigns to reach and activate people
• You like to help with social media and the website
• You go into the neighborhood to fly a flyer
• Together we come up with a sponsorship plan and we look for sponsorship in the neighborhood
• There is room for your own input. Do you have a good idea? Share it with us!

Production
• Assisting in arranging everything that is needed: from fire bowls to tents, from fresh rolls to an aggregate
• Help with building, doing odd jobs and connecting before and / or during the camping weekend
• As a runner last-minute bet for the latest problems and chores
• You are very practical or very creative
• Setting up scenarios, planning and logistical overviews

Other (and indispensable!)
• Back office: keep track of registrations and camping lists, prepare reception, keep an overview (!)
• First aid: manning the first aid post together with a colleague during the weekend
• Catering: helping with cooking, sponsoring food, coming up with menus, serving food, etc.
• Media: making reports, vlogging, writing articles for the camping newspaper, interviewing etc.
• Setting up scenarios, planning and logistical overviews

Specific tasks and roles within the teams are planned in consultation, also depending on the number of hours (per week) that are available, and what you like to do yourself, or would like to learn. We love collaboration, and ideas and other input are always welcome!
